Experiencing KC

Last night I went out and spent 6 hours wandering around Kansas City, it was a gorgeous day! We are really close the art museum so I walked over there to see what I could find. While it turned out the museum was closed for 'special events' (aka we don't want you here) I did see three bridal parties in the area outside the museum doing pictures. THREE! That's a ridiculous number of wedding parties in one place. Anyways, I followed suit and took lots of pictures there too, but not of them.

The museum has giant shuttlecocks (or birdies) lying around the lawn which are pretty neat. They were everywhere and totally random. There were even more on the backside of the building. In the picture you can see the lawn in front of the museum and then way in the back you can see the 'waterfall' that is part of the river running in front of my dorm. It's a pretty nice place to be.

I also found that the birdie in the back of the museum was sitting the opposite way of these two and decided it would make an amazing picture. Looks a little different, but it reminds me of a star. What do you think? We'd better make this more of an interactive blog starting today. ;)

After I left the museum I wandered down to the library which has a great view of the plaza and I read ... a book that I brought with me. But I think that is an experience worth repeating. I also wandered around down main street and it turns out there are actually things by us that aren't as expensive as the plaza...OMG ftw.

Afterwards Lori and my roommate Katie joined me for dinner at the Cheesecake factory. We were able to sit outside and while it was a little chilly the sunset was well worth the cold. I of course fail at using night vision but Lori was able to capture this picture of our view at dinner. I definitely giving sitting outside at the plaza five stars. There are street musicians that just sit and play all night so the atmosphere is most excellent. I will join any of you who wish to eat there, just give me a call.

Sounds like fun!

What's this about your roommate Katie... I thought I was your roommate Katie. :( Now I'm confused.
